Clay Tile
This is my clay tile. I was inspired by the Savanna Biome since there are many elephants living there and decided to use clay to make one.
Landscape Painting
This is the landscape portrait I painted. It is of train tracks. I took this picture myself one day and thought it would be interesting to paint out.

Print Making Tucan
I really enjoyed making this project overall. It was a very laid back assignment for the most part. There were times when I got annoyed because I felt my work could have been better but I kept on moving forwards. And its a good thing I did because I like the ending results of this project a lot! It turned out just how I planned and maybe even better. I think the biggest challenge in this assignment was the print making part of it. That in general is a hard thing to do and it took some getting use to but once I got the hang of it I was fine. The biggest success of this was the colors. I was just messing around with the colors and I came out with this and I am very happy with what happened. I learned a lot about print making and that the process is making many drawings and tracing again. Also the end result, though it takes a while to get there, it is certainly worth it.

Frong Tongue
I liked this assignment a lot better the second time around. First of all, I liked the task we had to complete better. It was a lot easier and had less confusing steps to it. I am starting to understand the program more as I do more on it. I am starting to like it and really build my knowledge about it. I hope as I keep using it more I understand it more. Though I messed up once on this I know how to fix my mistake for next time and understand how to make it better. I am learning a lot about computer art and I hope to continue to expand my knowledge.

Angry Pancake
I had mixed feelings about this assignment. I liked how clear the directions were that Mr. Sands was giving. I also liked the task we had to complete. It was very unique and insteresting to do. Something I didnt like about it was the program. I didnt understnad photoshop at some points. That is why my image didnt come out exactlty how I wanted it. Also, I couldnt go back and fix my mistake. Next time I need to be more careful and be aware of my actions. I hope next time will go better but I am glad I am getting use to the program.

Stencil Project
I think overall my stencil project was a success. From the start I knew it would. There were many steps in this project. The first one was choosing a picture. I choose one of me smiling because that is basically my personality. So that part was easy. The next step was transferring the lines to large pieces of paper. This part was hard because you had to be exact. Once we did this we had to cut out the individual stencils. This part was very time consuming and cut up my hands so I didn't really like it that much. Once I had this done it was time to pick out colors and my background. I decided to go with a yellow background since my face has a spot of yellow and it will show through. Other than that, I choose colors that I thought would fit well together. The spray painting part of this project was fun. Though in some parts I messed up, I think they ended up looking good but it isn't suppose to be perfect. That is the big thing I learned in this project, all art isn't perfect, especially spray painting. And if you mess up, sometimes you have to go with it. So in the end I am very happy with my result and I'm glad all my ideas came together some how to make this piece of artwork.

Contour Shoe
Contour lines are very important when drawing. They help improve your drawings. They helped with this picture of my shoe. I used them in many ways by not picking my pencil up and drawing one continuous line. It helped because I could just look at the shoe and focus on it without looking down. The line in general looks better because its more full and adds a finished looked. If it was sketchy then it wouldn't look as finished. I think contour lines really have an effect on the drawings and helps make it look like a real drawing that's easier to draw.

IPad Value Study
This is my Ipad value study drawing. It was done on an ipad on an app which helps with layers. Another thing it does is it great for smudging. On my hand made drawings, the blending weren't that good because I didn't have technology to help me with this project. Either way, I still got a good idea on how to draw these forms and how to shade. A similarity between the two methods is they do look pretty similar. Whether on the Ipad or paper, you still get a result that looks like this and you want them both to turn out like this. So other than the fact that smudging is much easier on the ipad, this project has the same concept using anything. I learned technology is important in art because its just another way if you cant use paper and pastels to have a similar result. Also technology is very big today and soon, many artists will be using it more and more so I think its important we understand how to use it.

Cartoon Skeleton
For my cartoon character, I choose Mickey Mouse. I like his body shape and thought it was very similar to the human body for many reasons. One of those reasons is it has all the primary bone structures. For example it has a spine, arms, legs, hands, and feet. That's basically what the human has as far as bone structures go. Although it looks like a simple skeleton drawing, it has more to it. I got creative with it considering its Mickey Mouse and I needed to do something fun. So since Mickey's feet are really big, I also drew the bones of the feet rather large too. That is the same thing with the hands, I made fingers longer and bigger. Another thing is the spine. I made it curve a little bit because Mickeys body is curving naturally. That is how I made Mickeys Skeleton look believable.
